The Karnataka government runs the Kaveri 2.0 portal for property records. Follow these seven simplified steps to apply for an EC in 2026.
Step 1: Visit the Official Website
Open your browser and go to the official Kaveri portal page. The website link is kaveri.karnataka.gov.in for all public users.
Step 2: Register
Click the Register button to make a new account online. Add your mobile number, email ID, name, and a password. Verify your account by the OTP sent to your phone.
Step 3: Select the EC Option
Log in to your main account by putting your verified username and password. Select the Online EC option from the property services menu.
Step 4: Fill in the Property Details
Select your district, taluk, hobli and the correct Sub-Registrar Office. Enter the survey number, village name and the search period dates. Choose Form 15 or Form 16 depending on your requirements.
Step 5: Submitting the Application
Review all the set details you have entered carefully before proceeding. Complete the Aadhaar eKYC step to sign your form online. Click submit to go to the fee payment page.
Step 6: Tracking the Application
Pay the Government Fee using whichever mode of payment you like. This will provide you with a reference number to follow up with your request. You can use this number to check the status of your application anytime.
Step 7: EC Download Bangalore
Log in once more after the Sub-Registrar approves your request online. Proceed to the dashboard. Download the signed PDF Certificate. Print the document for your home loan requirements.
