The owner and founder of Sobha Limited is P.N.C. Menon, who established the firm in 1976. He was born in Palakkad, Kerala and is an Indian origin billionaire based in Oman. He is now serving as the Chairman Emeritus of Sobha Ltd, India. He also leads the business of Sobha Realty in Dubai.

The name 'Sobha' has a deep emotion as it was named after his wife, Sobha Menon. The story of the company started with a small amount of money and later became a multi-billion-dollar real estate firm.

The Journey: From Oman to India and Dubai


The Beginnings in Oman (1976)

P.N.C. Menon started his business journey by moving to Oman in 1976. He began a small interior decoration company with the help of a small loan. His strong focus on quality work helped him gain attention from the royal family.

His company later worked on:

Establishing Sobha India (1995)

1. Ravi Menon (Chairman, Sobha Limited)

Ravi Menon, the son of P.N.C. Menon, currently serves as the Chairman of Sobha Limited. He studied civil engineering at Purdue University in the USA.

He joined Sobha in 2004 and became Chairman in 2012, and under his leadership, the company worked on new tech and modern project management systems. Sobha further strengthened its reputation as a backward-integrated developer that handles new things.

2. Francis Alfred (Managing Director, Sobha Realty)

Francis Alfred manages the international operations of Sobha Realty in Dubai. He has been associated with the company for more than two decades and started as MD of Sobha Realty in 2016. He has been serving in this role for the past 9 years.

He played an important role in expanding Sobha’s luxury township and waterfront portfolio in Dubai. He also helped the company improve digital systems and construction processes.

Apart from real estate, the Sobha leadership is also known for social welfare activities. P.N.C. Menon and Ravi Menon actively manage the SKECT and have worked on the betterment of poor people.

Sobha’s Presence, Headquarters, and Future Projects


Sobha Limited has delivered about 148 million sq. ft. of building area across 27 cities in India so far. The firm has worked on townships, office spaces, etc. These projects are in main cities such as Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, etc.

Sobha has its main office in Bangalore, Karnataka. As of 2026, Sobha has a planned launch and development pipeline of around 16.69–20.67 million sq. ft. This includes nearly 10 million sq. ft. of new launches planned for FY27 across key Indian markets.

The firm is one of the leading brands, which is expected to reach a turnover of 19,000 mn sq. ft. by 2027. Its valuation as of 2026 is around Rs. 15,300 crore (Rs. 153 billion). These data show that the firm is a reliable option for buyers who look for top spaces to get good ROI and rental yield.
